SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (POWER)

Carollo Engineers is an internationally recognized environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities. We are seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Senior Electrical Engineer with a specialization in power engineering. This position is ideal for an engineer with at least 10 applicable years of experience who possesses a strong background in consulting engineering as a power systems engineer. As an electrical engineer at Carollo, you would lead field investigation, design, and construction activities in support of the electrical and power systems of water and wastewater facilities. This would include calculations, review, and design tasks and leading a team of other electrical engineers to mentor and execute the work.

Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed electrical power systems design for water and wastewater treatment facilities with minimum supervision by a Senior Level Electrical Engineer
  • Perform load calculations, detailed conduit routing, motor control center and switchgear design, and specification generation
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Familiarity with power system applications, including calculation of available short circuit current, voltage drop, harmonic distortion, and power factor
  • Field investigative and start-up experience
  • Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA 820 and NESC
  • Familiarity with the IEEE color book series
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting
  • Have the ability to interact positively with clients
  • 10-15 years experience working in Electrical Engineering
  • PE registration required
