- Performing engineering work in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure.
- Work on engineering planning and design projects.
- Preparation of plans, specifications, reports for water/wastewater treatment and pumping facilities, wastewater collection systems, water transmission/distribution projects, and water/wastewater master plans/studies.
- Coordinates engineering work for a project of moderate scope or as part of a major project.
- Prepare cost estimates for various water and wastewater projects.
- System modeling.
- Permitting and alternative analysis.
- Preparation of technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables.
- Data entry and analysis.
- Provide engineering services during construction.
- Participate in field activities such as pilot testing, construction phase observations, design phase field measurements, etc.
- Ability to travel when requested.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental or other similar Engineering field
- 4 to 8 years of directly-relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering
- Registration as a Professional Engineer or ability to obtain Professional Engineering license within 1 year
- Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Work well in a team environment
- Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel
