Arlington, VACarollo Engineers is an internationally recognized environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities. We are seeking an Entry Level Civil/Enviromental Engineer to work on projects related to the planning and analysis of municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater distribution, collection, and conveyance systems, including but not limited to master plans, capital improvement program development, regional water quality and water supply studies, critical water reuse planning, and wet weather management projects that will create sustainable and resilient water supplies for the world.

- Performing engineering work in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure
- Work on engineering planning and design projects
- Prepare reports
- Develop plans and specifications
- Prepare cost estimates for various water and wastewater projects
- System modeling
- Permitting and alternative analysis
- Preparation of technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables
- Data entry and analysis
- Provide engineering services during construction
- Participate in field activities such as pilot testing
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
- Minimum academic requirements include coursework in physical, chemical, and biological processes; hydraulics; and principles of water and wastewater treatment plant and infrastructure design
- 0 to 4 years of directly-relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering
- Engineer-in-Training Certification
- Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Work well in a team environment
- Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel
