Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing rates to PM’s, billers and upper management as requested
  • Assist Payroll Manager/Payroll Specialists with processing semi-monthly payroll
  • Backup other members of the payroll team as needed
  • Uploading records to ADP, while ensuring data integrity throughout the process
  • Reconcile payroll batch transmission and validate confirmed reports
  • Process and maintain payroll for Leave of Absence
  • Process manual payments for late or incorrect timesheets
  • Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits, and provide guidance to employees when needed
  • Provide great customer service by responding to employee requests and ad-hoc reporting requests with timely and accurate information.
  • Employment Verifications
  • Special Payroll projects as needed
  • Support and collaborate with other Accounting teams and/or Human Resources as needed
  • Quarterly, Monthly and per pay period reporting

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of related working experience
  • Some working knowledge of payroll best practices
  • Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel
  • Working knowledge ADP very helpful but not necessary
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team player and individually
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with various levels of management
  • Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills
