Mid- Level Infrastructure Engineer

Carollo Engineers is an internationally recognized engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities and infrastructure. We are seeking a Mid-Level Infrastructure Engineer to help support our vision of becoming the best water consulting firm. As a memeber of our team, you will work on challenging projects related to municipal water and wastewater infrastructure, including pump stations, lift stations, water/wastewater conveyance piping, river intakes, and many other diverse projects.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as an engineer on the planning, design, construction, and/or commissioning of water and wastewater infrastructure projects of various sizes. Projects may include but are not limited to master planning, pipelines, pump stations, and storage facilities.
  • Plan, schedule, and conduct engineering work on small to large projects of varying complexity.
  • Work on engineering designs, develop plans and specifications, facilitate permitting, and prepare cost estimates for various infrastructure projects.
  • Perform data entry and analysis, alternatives analysis, system modeling, process calculations, and hydraulic calculations to size and select facilities.
  • Prepare technical memorandum, reports, and other deliverables.
  • Perform engineering services during construction, including but not limited to reviewing contractor submittals for conformance with contract plans and specifications and evaluating requests for information.
  • Coordinate the work of other engineering disciplines, designers, modelers, technicians, and others who assist in specific assignments.
  • Participate in field activities, such as site visits and overseeing field work.
  • Assist with proposals, interviews, and contract negotiations.
  • Active in professional associations including presentation of technical papers, participating on technical committees, etc.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering field
  • 6-12 years experience in planning, design, and/or construction of water and wastewater infrastructure projects  
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Texas
  • Ability to apply strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to apply critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques to develop options and recommendations to solve technical problems
  • Ability to present to groups and communicate effectively with clients and project team
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Highly motivated and self-starting
  • Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
